Operation North Star - Proactive results in your area!

This is a message being sent from your Local Neighbourhood Police officer - PC FINCH.

I wanted to send you a quick personal message regarding some proactive work I completed on December 2nd. This was in relation to Operation North Star, which is a policing initiative to tackle violence prevention, drink & drug driving, domestic abuse, Burglary, Personal Robbery, Vehicle Crime, Cybercrime, and Retail Crime. Dedicated overtime was allocated to the areas of Rumworth and Deane, whereby myself and a colleague made good use of the hours given. As a result of this, we managed to achieve the following;

3x Stop searches, of which 2 of the searches were positive for cannabis. One of the subjects will be attending Bolton custody for a voluntary attendance interview, and the other male will be reported to court.

12x vehicle stops - all stops were due to the standards of driving. One of the drivers received a Traffic Offence record due to driving a vehicle with an expired MOT.

2 x Intelligence reports - Due to ongoing patrols of the area, officers were able to record intelligence on those issues that concern communities. It is hoped that such submissions enable the police and partners to improve the areas for the communities.

The team and I are scheduled to work further shifts this December; therefore, I hope to send further results.
